"I need you, oh I need you,
I need you every day."
No, no, you don't,
You don't need me at all,
I promise you that you don't,
Not even in your desperation.
But I need you and God,
I am a selfish being,
And instead I say,
"Don't worry, I'm never leaving.
I'm here to stay."

The wires on which you’re built,
Let them see what you’re made of,
Let them see what you’re hiding underneath.
The way things are now,
They’ll never see it, they’ll never see you,
There’s too much in the way.
Dig it out, claw it off, claw slash slice,
Take it all away!
Rip away your security blanket of bloat,
Starve until you at least hit porcelain,
They’ll tell you you’re great, wonderful, beautiful
Because still they don’t see!
Next go for your rusted wires,
We all know they’re all that lies underneath,
And then they’ll see, oh they’ll see,

I am your eighty-sixed appetizer,
Your "not quite right, but it'll do" on your plate
When a growling hunger gnaws your ribs
Aching for something soft between its teeth.
I am the sugar-free vanilla syrup in your coffee
Because it's all the barista had left
And you can't stomach today's bitter brew
But you can handle the aspartame aftertaste.
I am your store-bought store-made stew
To hold you over for a little while
Until sHe returns tomorrow or another day
With the ingredients and broth you need.
I am your dollar-store nail polish,
Four coats chipped within the hour
Even with a matte topcoat
Because Revlon rolled under a dresser.

Spent most of the day in bed being emo as fck. Stupid me. Figured out what was wrong, laughed at myself for taking so long to figure it out, and caught up a little on homework. c: Back to being happy. Tomorrow, catching up on more work.
It's... weird. Life is pretty damn good lately. I mean, I still can't manage to get any of my school work done and I won't deny that I've shed some tears, but I'm happy. I was making a new Gaia profile last night and was looking through all the pictures from my camera. The memories some of the pictures brought back, the story they told... Yes I cried but it gave me a chance to think about a lot of things. Through the pictures I saw old fish, neighbors' old dogs who have since passed, high school memories, fishing, horse camp, and so, so many clouds. I guess I had a thing for taking pictures of clouds while on weekly drives to St. Peter and Ma
